Celebrate São Martinho with Vinhos Verdes at The Largo
Friday, 14 November, The Largo’s terrace welcomes an evening dedicated to the Vinhos Verdes region. In a relaxed and convivial setting, producers Vine Vinu, Cazas Novas, Adega da Vara, Sem Igual, and Tau will share and pour their wines, accompanied by cheeses, charcuterie, and other comforting bites.
São Martinho has always been a time of warmth to gather friends and family around generous tables, with roasted chestnuts and the year’s first wines. At The Largo, we celebrate this spirit through sharing, tradition, and seasonal flavours.
The ritual of tasting the new wine dates back centuries, symbolising the connection between the land and those who cultivate it. This year, we shine a light on the Vinhos Verdes region in Portugal’s northwest, known for its Atlantic influence, green landscape, and fresh temperatures. The vineyards, yield wines that capture both the energy of granite soils and the influence of the sea.
Our five guest producers — Vine Vinu, Cazas Novas, Adega da Vara, Sem Igual, and Tau — will present their wines and share their commitment to this remarkable region. Each vinifies within the Vinhos Verdes Denominação de Origem Controlada (DOC), celebrating local terroirs and native grape varieties such as Arinto, Avesso, Loureiro, and Azal.
On the terrace, The Largo recreates the São Martinho spirit with a comfort table featuring cheeses, cured meats and other snacks, perfect companions to the Vinhos Verdes.
Tickets are €45, with €20 deductible on wine purchases made during the event (for purchases over 6 bottles). Children’s tickets are half price.
The evening begins at 6:00 p.m., and places are limited.
This is not your typical São Martinho celebration, but rather the perfect excuse to toast the season, the richness of the Vinhos Verdes region, and the joy of sharing good wine and good company.
