“The Largo is eighteen keys set across five heritage buildings in the centre of Porto. When we were creating this project, not only from a conceptual point of view, but also in terms of interior design and in architecture, we always had in mind that we wanted this place to be a place of encounter. To be a place where people would connect to each other.”
With sixteen suites and two double rooms, The Largo’s sleeping quarters offer a varied collection of atmospheres and facilities. Families might be inclined to choose one of the two Penthouses, set across two levels and including a dining room and kitchenette, or to utilise the generous combined spaces of Casa interconnecting suites. Lovers might like to end their days exploring the city with a dip in the jacuzzi of the Flor suite. Creatives on retreat might want to hide out in the privacy of the Townhouse duplex, taking in 360-degree views of the city in the private al fresco living area. Each room has been crafted with careful consideration of its spacial features and location, resulting in an organic sense of place.
“The whole idea was to really get to a space where you could feel that you are in a Portuguese house.”
